18 November – the Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia

On 18 November – the Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia – the visitors are welcomed to the Latvian National Museum of Histoy located at the Riga Castle.

Venue: Riga Castle, Pils laukums 3 (entrance from Daugavas gāte).

18 November is a special day when the museum at Riga Castle is open to visitors; on other days, we only accept pre-booked school groups. The installation of new exhibitions has begun in the museum premises, and the reopening of the exhibitions and castle premises for permanent visits is planned for spring 2026.
