International Museum Day

On 18 May – the International Museum Day – there is a possibility to visit the museum for free. While the museum does not yet have any exhibitions, visitors have a unique opportunity to get to know Riga Castle in a form not seen for centuries by exploring the renovated premises: the vaulted cellars, the chapel, the refectory, and the Lead Tower. The free of charge audioguide in English, Estonian, Lithuanian and German is availbale: app.lnvm.lv. It is recommended to follow the castle’s sightseeing route and view the express exhibitions “Lost and Found” and “Then and Now”.
