International Museum Day

On 18 May – International Museum Day – there is a possibility to visit Dauderi free of charge. As part of the new Dauderi permanent exhibition, visitors can see the Villa fon Büngner master’s room, the study of former state president Kārlis Ulmanis, learn about the fate of Dauderi during the Soviet era, and its development into a museum. The second-floor exhibition is dedicated to the fate of Latvia’s cultural and historical heritage in the 20th century. There are also two thematic exhibitions, “Collector’s Cabinet” and “Kitchen, the Villa’s Invisible Side”. Also the exhibition “Eternal Spring No. 2” by Aiga Kalniņa is on display at Dauderi.
