Lāčplēsis day

On Lāčplēsis day, the Latvian National Museum of History  invites you to remember the freedom fighters and defenders of independence of Latvia, taking the time to get to know them better!

The museum invites you to view a special relic – a complete set of the Lāčplēsis Military Order, which belonged to Latvian Army General Jānis Balodis.

On this day, entrance to the museum will be free, as every year.
