The second concert during the pre-holiday season, presented by music school students at the Latvian National Museum of History in Riga Castle, will take place on 14 December at 3:00. The program has been prepared and will be conducted by 2nd-4th year students of the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Secondary School of Music.
The concert “Lūgums naktij” (A Prayer to the Night) will encourage reflection on the inner space of a human being – on what happens when the world falls silent and only voice, thought and breath remain. Here, night is not darkness or fear, but a space for conversation, where people reveal their truth and ask for peace, clarity and strength. The concert program includes music by Latvian composers, and its concept and title are rooted in Arturs Maskats’ composition of the same name.
The museum’s address is Pils laukums 3 (entrance from Daugavas gāte).
Tickets cost €5 and can be booked in advance by calling +371 67221357 or writing an e-mail to info@lnvm.gov.lv, as well as purchased at the museum box office before the concert.
